Bellow I have made a tutorial for you on how to draw Naruto. Everyone seems to love this character and in just a few years the Naruto manga and anime has grown to become one of the most popular ones ever.

So you want to learn how to draw Naruto? In this step by step tutorial I will show you how I draw Naruto, Get a pensil and paper and follow along with me. Good luck!

Step 1:

Go to Google and do an image search for Naruto, find a good reference image and if you like you can print it out. In this tutorial I will show you how to draw Naruto from the front.

Step 2:

Draw an oval for the head, remember to keep the lines light, that way it will be easier to erase the lines later.

Step 3:

Draw some guide lines for the eyes, the nose and mouth. Notice that the eyes are placed a little lower than the middle of the face.

Step 4:

Now it is time to put in the eyes. To Draw the eyes in the right size and to possition them correctly it is helpfull to know that the face is about 5 eyes wide, as you can see in the illustration bellow. Don’t worry about detailing the eyes at this time, we will deal with that later, just draw in two circles for now. You can aslo put in the eyebrows at this point.

Remember to keep the lines you draw light!

Step 5:

Now it is time to draw the hair, the neck and the band around his head. notice that the hairline starts a bit higher then the middle of the face.

Remember to keep those hair edges sharp!

Step 6:

Let’s detail the eyes!

At this point the eyes looks like circles.

The next step is to draw the eyelids and the eye with the pupil in it. I always draw the lines lightly at first, then I add more pressure when I draw over it the second time.

Detailing the eye is maybe the most difficult step of the entire drawing. Here it is important to study the eye of you reference image.

Step 7:

Now it is time to clean up the drawing, and add the finishing touches. First use an eraser to remove the guidelines we drew earlier, then draw the jaw line and the nose. I also drew the eyebrows once more, since they were a bit faint.

Step 8:

Now let’s draw the ears. It is very important that you study your reference image now, since drawing ears can be a bit difficult. A good idea is to think where the ears are positioned in relation to other elements of the face, like the nose and the eyes. Bellow I have made a few guidelines to help you see what I mean. I feel these guides makes the process of drawing the ears a lot easier.

Usually i don’t draw these lines, but I imagine them being there. Give it a try!

Done!

I hope this tutorial helped you;)
